Documents for a visa should be submitted to the Consulate either in person, or via an authorized representative
with the power of attorney.
Before you visit the Consulate to apply for a visa, please:
- study carefully information the page How to apply for a visa and read the information about different types of visas on this website;
- make an appointment at http://gothenburg.kdmid.ru
- fill out electronic application form at http://visa.kdmid.ru at least one day before you visit the Consulate.
While filling out section “Appointment details” in the electronic application form please choose “Consulate
General of the Russian Federation in Göteborg” as the location where you will apply for your visa.
If you choose “Visa Application Center IFS (Göteborg)” (Russian Visa Center in Gothenburg) the Consulate will not
get your application in its database and you will not be able to apply for a visa directly at the Consulate even if you
book a time!
If you have not decided on a specific authority yet, please indicate all potential authorities
where you might submit your application: “Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Göteborg” and “Visa
Application Center IFS (Göteborg)”.
If you are going to apply for a visa at the

Those organizations are commercial structures and are in no way associated with the Consulate-General. To avoid any
misunderstanding we strongly recommend to process your visa applications via the Consulate-General directly or via the
Russian Visa Center.
Tourist agencies or bureaus with groups of tourists/visitors should apply for Russian visas at the Russian Visa
Visa fee is paid by debit/credit card directly at the Consulate General after applying only. Please do not
pay visa fee until the consular officer examines all documents and makes a decision on your application. Paid fee for a

After the visa is received it should be checked properly by the applicant (passport number, date of birth,
term of validity, etc). Any misprints or inaccuracies should be reported immediately. The Consulate General assumes no
responsibility for any discrepancies in visas which have not been brought to its attention prior to departure from
